The shack

This book is one of my favorite fiction faith stories and I hope that it holds as much value as it did to me. After reading this book it gave me a different perspective on God and his mysteries. I would recommend for you to read the book if you would like to experience it in a new level.

This book is called The Shack by William P. Young, it was then published in 2007. In an interview Young explained that the title of the book is a methaphor for “the house you build out of your own pain”. The main character is called Mackenzie Allen Phillips aka Mack. Four years before the main events, he experiences a devastating loss after taking his three kids to a camp site in Wallowa Lake near Joseph, Oregon.

As the novel goes back to present time, Mack receives a mysterious letter from God telling him “It's been a while. I’ve missed you. I’ll be at the shack next weekend if you want to get together”. He struggled to acknowledge that God had just sent him a letter but was determined to figure out what was waiting for him there. When he arrives at the shack olden memories of his loss came to mind but later that day he finds relief on three strange people.
