Although I may have only seen the second half of the movie I still thought it was amazing. I say this because the overall message that I received was how you can always find the good side to any situation. For example, the main character, Guido, was trying to protect his son by telling him the camps were all just a game. He also sacrificed his life for the protection of his son. This, in my opinion, shows perseverance and dedication towards his family.
